About Us

Who We Are and What We Do

Who Are We?

CODO is a non-governmental, non-profit organization registered in Tanzania under the Non-Governmental Act of 2002 (Registration No. 0NGO/00001002). Established to address the needs of vulnerable groups, we are based in Dodoma, the capital city of Tanzania, at P.O. Box 584, Makole Ward, Usomalini Street.

Our Background

Since April 2018, CODO has worked to support vulnerable children, orphans, street beggars, and women through volunteer efforts. Our initiatives focus on health, education, and economic empowerment, with achievements including the Chomoza and Mwanamke Kwanza programs.

Our Programs

Initiatives to Support Our Community

Chomoza Program

Provides health check-ups in 22 schools, stationery for 48 vulnerable children, and annual free health insurance. Aims to prevent early pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and drug abuse.

Mwanamke Kwanza Program

Empowers 240 women (80 active) with skills to produce disposable bags and baskets, fostering economic self-sufficiency since 2019.

Other Programs

Includes Church to Church (C2C), Mosques to Mosque (M2M), and CODO Community Awards to raise funds and support 48 children with health insurance.

Our Proposal

Seeking Collaboration and Support

Request to Become Affiliates

After three years of mutual observation, we propose a long-term affiliation for financial and management support, aligning our missions to sustain programs like Chomosa.

Reasons for Downfall

  • Financial Resources: Lack of permanent donors hinders ongoing programs and health insurance for children.
  • Poor Management: Insufficient funds stalled internal training (MVC/OVC) aimed at staff and donor readiness.

Our Request

We seek your support to revive our efforts, starting with the Chomosa Program, leveraging intercountry NGO expertise.

Our Expectations

We anticipate a prompt response to rescue vulnerable children from hunger, lack of education, and illness, viewing your support as a pillar for their future.
